Description of the short course:

As the world continues to ebb and flow, and as we continue to become faced with uncertainty and change, acquiring a high degree of Emotional Intelligence (EI) can empower you to navigate your day to day operations and lead your team into success.

In this short course, you will be introduced to the five states of Emotional Intelligence and be guided through various activities that will allow you to apply the concepts and methodologies of Emotional Intelligence in your every day and in working with your colleagues and staff. A high degree of EI can assist you in ensuring that you can support your employees and help them thrive. As part of any leadership methodology, communications is key to translating your EI in a way that can have a positive impact on your team.

Leadership Communications will enable you to apply your acquired skills in Emotional Intelligence, and communicate with your employees and colleagues in a way that can foster a positive impact and create a culture where people feel connected and valued. When people feel connected to the people they work with and for, they become more vested in the work they are performing and thus show up at their best. This course will provide you with the tools and strategies to best apply your talents in EI to connect with your audience and colleagues in a way that will foster engagement.

By the end of this workshop you will be able to:

  • Define each of the five states of emotional intelligence and set action steps to achieve each one.
  • Identify your work values and rank yourself based on your self-awareness.
  • Build empathy towards colleagues and their work complaints.
  • Identify your personal competencies and learn how to self-regulate in the workplace.
  • Identify your motivation source as being intrinsic or extrinsic and rank your ability to self-motivate.
  • Identify your social traits and communicate with others using your abilities while honoring their social traits.
  • Practice your EI skills in various activities that will be provided.
  • Apply the 10 keys to leadership communications in working with your teams.

What’s in It for You?

  • If you want to become a true leader and you want to lead by example, acquiring a high degree of EI and Leadership Communications will empower you to thrive and teach your team how to in turn also thrive.
  • If you want to foster a positive and productive working environment, practicing your EI and Leadership Communications will create an environment where you have control over your behaviors and can foster positive behaviors in others.
